Obama Reacts To Bidens Concerns Bad Debate performance

A former White House aide complained that there are 'too many Obama people' in the administration 'who don't care' about Biden

Former President Barack Obama recently weighed in on President Joe Biden’s debate performance, offering a bit of perspective. Let’s delve into what he had to say.

    Bad Debate Nights Happen

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Obama acknowledged that “bad debate nights happen.” Drawing from his own experience during the 2012 election, he emphasized that this is a common occurrence. But what matters most is the broader context of the election.

Obama highlighted that the upcoming election remains a choice between two starkly different candidates. On one side, there’s Biden, who has consistently fought for ordinary folks throughout his career. On the other side, there’s someone who prioritizes self-interest above all else.

Obama would be jealous": How Biden's rivalry with his ex-boss shapes his presidency

President Joe Biden’s debate performance against former President Donald Trump:

    1. Biden’s Stumbles: Early in the debate, Biden’s voice appeared raspy, and he occasionally rambled off on nonsensical tangents. His lengthy pause while discussing Medicare raised eyebrows. When asked about immigration and border security, he misspoke, giving Trump an opportunity to retort.
    2. Abortion Clash: The candidates sparred over abortion. Biden committed to restoring Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that granted Americans the constitutional right to abortion. Trump applauded its repeal and falsely claimed that Biden’s administration would allow abortions “after birth.” Reproductive rights advocates pointed out that abortions don’t happen after birth, and Trump’s comments caused outrage online.
    3. Age and Leadership: Both candidates, aged 78, faced questions about their effectiveness as leaders due to their age. Trump took credit for appointing justices who supported overturning Roe v. Wade, while Biden criticized him for wanting states to make their own abortion laws.

    Truth and Integrity

The former president underscored the importance of truth and integrity. He contrasted someone who tells it like it is knowing right from wrong with someone who consistently lies for personal gain.

Despite the debate performance, Obama reaffirmed that much is at stake in November. The choice remains clear, and the American people must decide who will lead the nation forward.
