Paul Clifton Anthony George, born on May 2, 1990, in Palmdale, California, is an American professional basketball player. Nicknamed “PG-13,” he currently plays as a small forward and shooting guard for the Los Angeles Clippers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). George played college basketball for the Fresno State Bulldogs before being drafted by the Indiana Pacers in 2010. His impressive career includes multiple NBA All-Star selections and All-NBA Team honors.
Life
George attended Knight High School in Palmdale, where he honed his skills on the basketball court. He played college basketball for the Fresno State Bulldogs, also making an impact with his scoring ability, athleticism, and defensive prowess. In the 2010 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers selected George with the 10th overall pick.
He quickly established himself as a versatile forward, known for his smooth shooting stroke, defensive tenacity, and ability to create plays. George also spent several successful seasons with the Pacers, earning multiple NBA All-Star selections. A devastating leg injury in 2014 threatened George’s career. He fractured his right leg during a Team USA scrimmage. His determination and hard work during rehabilitation paid off, and he returned stronger than ever. George played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Clippers.
His partnership with Kawhi Leonard in LA has made the Clippers a formidable team in the Western Conference.
