During this period, he had loan spells at Leyton Orient and Leicester City. Campbell continued to feature prominently for Arsenal despite the arrival of prolific striker Ian Wright. In the 1993–94 season, he scored 19 goals for the club, which remains his best season. He was part of Arsenal’s successful 1992–93 FA Cup and League Cup campaigns. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the 1993–94 European Cup Winners’ Cup campaign, scoring four goals, including one in the semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

    In 1995, Campbell was sold to Nottingham Forest for an initial fee of £2.5 million. He continued to ply his trade in the English football league. Campbell’s move to Everton initially started as a loan but became permanent in the summer of 1999 for a fee of £3 million. He also had a stint in the Turkish Süper Lig, playing for Trabzonspor.
