In her late teens, Maren Morris moved to Nashville, the heart of country music. She also independently released her debut album, “Walk On”, in 2005, showcasing her distinctive voice and songwriting abilities. The album caught the attention of industry insiders, also leading to her self-titled EP, “Maren Morris”, in 2015.
Columbia Nashville recognized Morris’s potential and signed her to both a publishing and recording contract. Her major-label debut studio album, “Hero”, dropped in 2016.
