JJ Redick attended Duke University, where he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. Known for his sharpshooting skills, he became a fan favorite during his time at Duke. His scoring ability and work ethic made him one of the most celebrated players in college basketball history. In the 2006 NBA draft, the Orlando Magic selected JJ Redick as the 11th overall pick. He spent the majority of his NBA career with the Magic, where he established himself as a reliable three-point shooter. Redick later played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks.
His tenure with the Clippers and 76ers showcased his leadership and veteran presence. JJ Redick holds several records, ACC all-time leading scorer (2,769 points). ACC career tournament points leader. Set an NCAA record for most consecutive free throws made (54). ACC Player of the Year (2005, 2006). Also After retiring from professional basketball in September 2021, Redick transitioned to media work. He hosts “The Old Man and the Three” podcast, where he discusses basketball, culture, and life.
