Kevin Bieksa was born on June 16, 1981, in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. He grew up playing hockey and honed his skills in local leagues and junior hockey programs. His passion for the game led him to pursue a professional career.
Kevin Bieksa started his professional ice hockey career with the Vancouver Canucks and later played for the Anaheim Ducks. He was selected 151st overall by the Canucks in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Bieksa’s playing style is known for being physical and aggressive, also making him a formidable two-way defenseman.
After a successful three-year career in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with the Burlington Cougars, Bieksa earned a scholarship to Bowling Green State University. During his college years, he played for the Bowling Green Falcons in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). Bieksa graduated from the university with a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in finance and received CCHA All-Academic honors in 2003 and 2004. Kevin Bieksa also transitioned from the ice to the studio. He now co-hosts Hockey Night in Canada as a television hockey analyst. His insights and entertaining commentary have made him a respected figure in the hockey world.
