Amrabat Update On Man United Transfer 2024

Sofyan Amrabat set to join Man United

Sofyan Amrabat, the Morocco international, joined Manchester United on a season-long loan deal from Fiorentina during the summer transfer window of the 2023-24 season.

The Red Devils paid a reported €10 million loan fee for his services.

Desire to Stay at Old Trafford:

      • Amrabat played a key role in Manchester United’s shock 2-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
      • He expressed his eagerness to remain at Old Trafford for the upcoming season.
      • The club has the option to buy Amrabat on a permanent deal:
        • Initial fee: €20 million
        • Also Additional add-ons: €5 million (as per the clause included in his loan move).

    Late-Season Form:

      • Despite being a rotation option for most of the season, Amrabat partnered with Kobbie Mainoo in midfield during the final four games of the year.
      • His late-season form could potentially influence the decision regarding his future at the club.

    Amrabat’s Words:

      • After the FA Cup victory, Amrabat stated:

“Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option. Look, I think it has been a very difficult season. For Manchester United, it needs to be much better, and also for me personally.”

      • He reflected on his early challenges, including playing at left-back, and also emphasized his desire to continue at the biggest club in the world:

“Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we will sit down now and see what happens.”

    Potential Permanent Deal:

      • With Casemiro potentially leaving this summer, signing Amrabat on a permanent deal is a viable option for the Red Devils.
