    In a tragic turn of events, Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems, has died suddenly at the age of 44. Dean had raised concerns about a supplier who had been ignoring production defects related to Boeing aircraft.

    Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at a Boeing supplier, has tragically passed away at the age of 44. His death occurred suddenly due to a severe infection. Dean had previously raised concerns about the supplier’s production defects and safety issues related to Boeing aircraft.

    This unfortunate incident comes less than two months after another Boeing-linked whistleblower, John Barnett, was found dead on March 9 in Charleston. Barnett, a former quality control manager at Boeing, had also raised alarm about manufacturing practices within the company.

    Dean’s contributions as a whistleblower were significant. He had alerted authorities to issues with the assembly process, sub-standard parts, and problems with oxygen systems. His dedication to safety and also transparency was commendable, and also his passing is a loss for those who seek accountability and improvements in the aviation industry.

    Dean’s family confirmed his passing in a statement to The Seattle Times. His aunt, Carol Parsons, expressed gratitude for the prayers and shared their grief: “He passed away yesterday morning, and his absence will be deeply felt. We will always love you, Josh.”
