    Joe Dadzie taking over as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum

    GNPC confirms Joseph Abuabu Dadzie as new CEO - Asaase Radio

    The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has announced with pleasure the appointment of Joseph Abuabu Dadzie as its new Chief Executive. Mr. Dadzie takes over from Mr. Opoku-Ahweeneh Danquah, whose term of office ended on April 26, 2024.

    Mr. Dadzie brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as GNPC’s Deputy Chief Executive responsible for Commerce, Strategy & Business Development. His impressive career spans over 25 years in various executive and senior management positions across different sectors, also including energy, oil and gas, telecommunications, and banking.

    International Exposure

    Mr. Dadzie’s international exposure includes working attachments with organizations such as Codi International BV (Netherlands), New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), Societe Generale (Paris la Defense), Total Petroleum Services (London and Paris la Defense), and the UBS Trading floor (Stamford, Connecticut, USA).

    Between 2013 and 2015, Mr. Dadzie held the position of Chief Operating/Finance Officer at Surfline Communications Limited. He also served as Chief Finance Officer for Woodfields Energy Resources from 2008 to 2013. His international exposure includes working attachments with organizations such as Codi International BV (Netherlands), New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), Societe Generale (Paris la Defense), Total Petroleum Services (London and Paris la Defense), and the UBS Trading floor (Stamford, Connecticut, USA).

    He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) as well as a Master of Science degree in General Management, both from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in Breukelen, Netherlands. Additionally, he also earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology.Akufo-Addo appoints Joseph Abuabu Dadzie as CEO of GNPC

    Arrangements are being made for Mr. Joseph Dadzie to meet with all stakeholders in the coming months. His leadership and strategic planning skills will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of GNPC.
