Dumsor : In a campaign tour in the Eastern Region, the flagbearer of Ghana’s governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured the public that the ongoing erratic power supply, locally known as “dumsor,” will soon be a thing of the past. Speaking at a breakfast meeting with NPP regional leaders ahead of the start of his nationwide tour, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the government’s dedication to addressing the outages once and for all. This commitment to resolving “dumsor” reflects the government’s dedication to improving the lives of citizens. “I know that there are challenges,” he said, “we are going to work on them. Currently, we have issues with power, but the assurance from the Minister for Energy is that those power challenges will very soon be a thing of the past; they are working at it.”

Including the ability for consumers to purchase electricity units via mobile phones, eliminating the need to wait in long lines at ECG offices.
