    Verna Natural Mineral Water Named Product of the Year at Ghana Beverage Awards 2023

    Verna Natural Mineral Water has emerged as the overall winner of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA) 2023, securing the prestigious title of “Product of the Year.” The awards ceremony celebrated excellence in the beverage industry. And recognized outstanding contributions from various brands.

    In addition to Verna Natural Mineral Water, several other products received accolades across different categories. Notable winners included Vitalmilk Energy, Koa Natural Cocoa Fruit Juice, Reign Baobab and Hibiscus, Adonko Bitters, Voltic Natural Mineral Water, Bel Cola, Jonnie Walker, Orijin RTD, Bailey Irish Cream, Heineken, Reign Rum, and Smirnoff.

    Senator Benedict Murray-Bruce, ChAairman of the Silverbird Group and guest of honor at the event, commended the Global Media Alliance (GBA) for organizing the awards program. He also emphasized the importance of supporting indigenous companies. And promoting locally produced goods to boost the economy and create job opportunities. Senator Murray-Bruce also urged the government to strengthen border controls to protect local industries from foreign competition.

    Deputy Minister of Tourism

    Mr. Mark Okraku-Mantey, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Art, and Culture, highlighted the beverage industry’s significant role in job creation and revenue generation. He emphasized the government’s commitment to making tourism a key contributor to Ghana’s Gross Domestic Growth. And also called for industry support in achieving this goal.

    (Mr. Mark Okraku-Mantey): “We need your support as we create an enabling environment for tourists. Let’s continue to celebrate our local brands like Verna, which enhance our economy.”

    Mr. Ernest Boateng, Group Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance. Expressed pleasure in also providing a platform like the Ghana Beverage Awards. He emphasized the importance of communication, networking, and idea exchange among industry enthusiasts to foster growth and development.

    Verna Natural Mineral Water’s victory underscores its commitment to quality and innovation, also making it a standout brand in Ghana’s competitive beverage market.
