HIS ROYAL Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has heaped tons of praises on his dear wife, Lady Julia in public.

According to the respected monarch, his 25 years reign on the Golden Stool has been successfully partly because of his dear wife.

The Asantehene, for instance said, Lady Julia’s main desire and wish is to see him (Otumfuo) succeed as the King of Asanteman.

He said if he (Otumfuo) has attained 25 years on the sacred Golden Stool, then it was proper for him to thank his wife for her support.

The Asantehene, who is the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool, was speaking during a church service to mark his 25 years anniversary.

Continuing, Otumfuo also gave thanks to God for his blessings, protection, guidance and support for him over the last 25 years on the throne.

According to him, but for the direction of God, he couldn’t have achieved anything on the throne “so the greatest thanks go to God”.

The Asantehene also lauded all the paramount chiefs and queen-mothers as well as other chiefs in Asanteman for their support.

Otumfuo, who virtually used his entire speech to give thanks, also thanked Asante royals, servants at the palace and all his subjects.

He also thanked the clergy for their prayers and support, stressing that “I need more of your prayers in the coming years as Asante King”.
