    La Dadekotopon, Ghana – In a surprising turn of events, Joseph Addo, the personal driver of President Nana Akufo-Addo, has secured victory in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary for the La Dade-Kotopon constituency. The primary took place at the Zenith University College in La. where party delegates cast their votes to determine the NPP’s candidate for the La Dadekotopon constituency.

    • Joseph Addo Wins:Out of a total of 1,221 votes, Joseph Addo emerged as the clear winner, garnering 664 votes. His opponent, Solomon Kotey Niiko, also received 555 votes, with two ballots rejected. Addo’s victory reflects his growing popularity within the party and his ability to connect with constituents.
    • Background: Joseph Addo’s victory is significant given his role as President Akufo-Addo’s personal driver. His growing political influence within the party also underscores his successful bid in the primary.
    • Party Unity: The NPP aims to reclaim the La Dadekotopon seat. which was lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections. Joseph Addo’s win adds momentum to the party’s preparations for the upcoming general elections. Also as the NPP gears up for the electoral contest.
