Member of Parliament for Tema Central, Yves NII NOI Hanson-Nortey has finally spoken for the first time since his defeat to Mr. Charles Forson at just ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries on Saturday, 27, 2024.
The NPP primaries saw 28 incumbent MP who were booted out over the weekend in shocking defeats.
And one of those MPs is Yves NII NOI Hanson-Nortey who failed to retain his seat in the Tema Central constituency.
Speaking in an interview on Adom FM on Dawso Nsem morning show, Mr. Hanson-Nortey cited poor communication and inadequate publicity contributed to his shocking defeat to his contender.
According to him, he failed to project the developments he has brought to his constituency prior to the NPP parliamentary primaries over the weekend.
“To be honest, it is poor communication and inadequate publicity that caused my defeat because when I went round I failed to publicize the projects I brought to my constituency. When it comes to work I have done a lot in the past 2 years, “ Mr. Hanson-Nortey said.
He went on to mention some of the developmental projects he has done in Tema Central, however, he claimed that a lot of the residents did not know.
