This comes as no surprise to many as Adwoa Safo is noted for sharing goodies to her constituent members.
It would be recalled that, during the new voter’s registration last year October, the MP for Dome-Kwabenya shared yogot and pie for everyone.
Relatedly, Adwoa Safo has successfully participated in the NPP parliamentary primaries.
On Saturday morning, Miss Safo, who is running for reelection, cast her ballot at the Atomic Basket Ball Park.
With a two-sure sign in the air, the beleaguered MP moved around to engage delegates while flashing a wild smile.
By eight votes, Ms. Safo was able to hold onto the seat in the 2020 primary.
She has been based in the United States for the last three years, though, and party members, including other lawmakers, have openly questioned her allegiance given the NPP’s numerical disadvantage in the hung Parliament.
Michael Oquaye Jr., the CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, who narrowly lost the 2020 competition, will be a formidable opponent for her.
Meanwhile, a viral video has surfaced just hours before the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries, showcasing numerous branded 32-inch smart television sets that are prepared to be given to delegates.
The television sets in the viral video are branded with what appears to be the image of Farouk Aliu Mahama, the Yendi MP running for the party’s primary seat a second time.
The MP Farouk Aliu Mahama’s branded image is shown on the television, even though InsightNewsgh.com is unable to independently confirm whether the Yendi MP is actually responsible for the act.
