Born in Albany, New York, in 1984, Elise was raised in the town of Willsboro, nestled amidst the Adirondack Mountains. Her parents, Doug and Maureen, instilled in her a strong work ethic, a love for the outdoors, and a sense of community. Growing up surrounded by family and nature, Elise also developed a deep connection to her roots and an appreciation for simple values.
Elise excelled academically, displaying a sharp intellect and a thirst for knowledge. This also led her to Gibson’s School, a rigorous boarding school, where she thrived in debate and government classes. It was here that her interest in politics began to blossom, also nurtured by passionate discussions and engaging teachers.
Driven by her ambition, Elise set her sights on Harvard University. Accepted at the prestigious institution, she majored in Government and also graduated magna cum laude. Her time at Harvard further honed her intellectual skills and exposed her to diverse perspectives, solidifying her desire to make a difference in the world.
Following graduation, Elise plunged into the political arena, working on various campaigns and honing her leadership skills. In 2014, she made history as the youngest woman ever elected to Congress at the age of 30.
