Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Abura Asebu-Kwamakese constituency in 2024, has exposed Samuel Atta Akyea over comments that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can’t be blamed for Ghana’s economic crisis.
Earlier on, Atta Akyea chastised those who attribute the nation’s economic problems to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He said that while the economy is not doing well, it is “cruel” and “unkind” for anyone to blame Dr. Bawumia for the economic problems facing the President Akufo-Addo administration.
Mr. Atta Akyea maintained that the vice president was unable to make certain crucial decisions for the nation because of his extremely important advisory role.
Following, Kwakye Ofosu took his X (formerly Twitter) page debunk Atta Akyea’s assertion. According to him, the MP for Akim Abuakwa South was firmly ensconced in his seat in Parliament when President Akufo-Addo conclusively said Bawumia is in charge of economic management.
Atta Akyea says we should not blame Bawumia for the economic meltdown.

In order to turn around the nation’s fortunes, Atta Akyea emphasized that the people must vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate in the December elections.
Dr. Bawumia is the greatest gentleman with “shock absorbers” who is prepared to serve the country, according to the MP for Akim Abuakwa South.
Ghana’s economy has been struggling for some time, and the government is requesting assistance from the International Monetary Fund.
He stated that since the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) did not originate, he does not think they can oversee the government’s free Senior High Schools (SHS) program if they come to power.
“Some people believe that you [NDC] didn’t start free SHS; you might not even know how to continue. And the nation will suffer for it,” he stated.
The NDC flagbearer and former president John Dramani Mahama, who is running for reelection, will compete against the vice president in the presidential election.
