Brother of the late President John Evans Atta Mills and MP for Komenda Edin Eguafo Abrem, Samuel Atta Mills and the Head of Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho have been on a loggerhead over the autopsy report of the late President for some years now.
Recently, KoKu Anyidoho led some family members of the late John Evans Atta Mills who paid a courtesy call on President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to demand for the the autopsy report of the late President after 11years of his demise.
Recall, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was formally requested to provide the family of late President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills with the autopsy report of the late leader.
They expressed concern about the unidentified cause of his death and emphasized the importance of getting the report for historical records and closure.
This appeal was made on the family’s behalf by Nana Enyimfua III, who visited the president over the weekend in Accra. The family wants to obtain the report prior to President Akufo-Addo’s term coming to an end.
In an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Samuel Atta Mills said Koku Anyidoho who led a family delegation from the late president was sick mentally and needs an immediate attention.
According to the lawmaker, Parliament must provide Psychiatric hospitals with enough drugs to administer to patients battling with mental issues.
“What we need to do as parliamentarians and Ghanaians is we need to help mental health hospitals. We should make sure they have drugs and competent people who are working. We should give them all the resources because we don’t give them enough resources. Koku Anyidoho has mental problem,” Mr. Samuel Atta Mills said.
However, the host of the Dwaso Nsem morning show on Adom FM interjected and asked the MP for for Komenda Abrem to retracted his comments.
The brother of the late president Atta Mills stressed that Anyidoho always remains him of his pains anytime he resurrects the issue of the autopsy report of Prof. John Atta Mills.
