The petition filed by Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer, alleging that her colleague David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has been intimidating her and threatening her life has been acknowledged by the Lagos State Police Command.
The “Emido” crooner accused Davido of using derogatory language in response to a post that featured both her and the singer’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, in it. The petition went viral online.
The singer gave an explanation of her disappointment at Davido’s threats, telling him that she had supported his family throughout, particularly when he lost his son Ifeanyi.
But she said she got calls from people she knew who asked questions about her relationship with Sophia and what she had done to annoy Davido.
In a Tuesday conversation with reporters, State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin stated: “I can confirm to you that we have received the petition and investigation has commenced.”
Tee Billz, a talent manager from Nigeria, recently criticized Davido for the way he treated his ex-wife Tiwa Savage.
According to reports, Davido and Tiwa Savage stopped following one another a few days ago for unknown reasons.
But Tiwa’s ex-husband claimed Davido disrespected his family in an Instagram post on Monday, threatening to discipline him.
Billz also claimed in a different post that Davido had been harassing singer Tiwa Savage and had threatened to send boys after her.
He continued by saying that when Davido made an effort to get in touch with him, he acted haughtily and carelessly.
