Responses have been given to rumors that Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, is being considered as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate.
He declared that he would seize any chance to help his native Ghana.
The Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe declared on Tuesday, January 9, on the Citi Breakfast Show that he is always willing to lend his support to Ghana whenever needed.
“I am here to serve my nation, in any capacity I find myself I will serve this nation,” Dr Adutwum said.
Notable figures have emerged in the contest for Dr. Bawumia’s running mate in the next general elections, including MP for Suame Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu and Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh.
In other news, Ministers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have received advice from Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), advising them to begin gathering their handing-over notes in anticipation of their impending resignation.
The people no longer trust the current administration, according to the NDC National Chairman during a press conference at the party’s headquarters on January 8, 2024.
He made it clear that efforts to undermine the goals of defenseless civilians fighting for their rights would ultimately be ineffective.
He continued by citing the most recent District Assembly elections as evidence of the party’s waning support.
He gave the constituencies of Walewale in the North East, Okere in the Eastern region, Essikadu-Ketan in the Western region, Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) in the Central region, and Hohoe, where the NDC performed admirably, as examples. These constituencies currently have NPP MPs in office.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah declared, “Already, thousands of persons affiliated to the NPP have lost the District Level Elections. Yes, NPP people have miserably lost the Assembly and Unit Committee elections to members, supporters, and affiliates of the NDC.”
