Following Stonebwoy’s Bhim Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium, football fans expressed their displeasure and pointed fingers at the dancehall artist due to the poor condition of the turf.
Samuel Nartey George, the Ningo Prampram member of parliament, contends that Stonebwoy is not to blame for the damaged pitch.
Stonebwoy has been swiftly accused of hosting the event at the sports venue due to the stadium’s unsuitable condition for football activities due to the state of the grass.
Sam George responds by pointing the finger at the National Sports Authority (NSA) and stating that they are in charge of managing the stadium.
From his point of view, before permitting events such as the Bhim Concert to happen, the NSA, which is responsible for managing the nation’s stadiums, ought to have taken proactive steps to safeguard the grass.
Sam George attacks the management, claiming that they are not making the best use of their resources.
He draws attention to a contradiction in the director general’s statement made by the NSA to the Public Accounts Committee, stating that they had pitch covers for protection.
Sam George claims that none were used at the Bhim Concert, pointing to a possible betrayal of confidence by the NSA.
The Ningo Prampram MP promises to grill NSA chief Prof. Peter Twumasi at his upcoming Public Accounts Committee appearance in a post that was shared on X.
He promises to look into why the NSA did not take preventative action, accusing the group of lacking intelligence in effectively managing stadium events.
