Expelled former Convention People’s Party (CPP) General Secretary, Nana Yaa Akyempim Jantuah has slammed the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for hating her without a course.
Speaking in an interview on UTV’s Mpe Ne Mpe show, Yaa Jantuah debunked all accusations leveled against her by the CPP which led to her sacking.
The CPP had accused their former General Secretary of misconduct and stealing party’s money, however she vehemently denied and stressed she is not an arrogant person.
Yaa Jantuah disclosed that she has been tagged as an NDC following her constant criticism of the ruling NPP government.
According to her, she is not the only person who speaks against NPP government.
“The NPP hates me for no reason and I think that it is very accidental. It has to do with my father whom the NPP sees as a communist and a controversial person in those days,” she fumed.

The former General Secretary of the CPP stepped down from her role after some people petitioned the National Executive Council to remove her from office over accusations of misconduct and nonperformance.
Speaking in an interview on UTV after her resignation, Nana Yaa Jantuah disclosed that she’s not bothered if 3,000 people voted for her and 120 people want her expelled.
According to her, she always put her issues before the court of God to fight her battles for her because she is a Christian.
She revealed that she was not properly equipped with the necessary things she needed to work with following her appointment, adding the party didn’t handover any notes to her, she had to fish out everything herself.
Yaa Jantuah affirmed her believed that God will fish out the people who are behind her falling out of the CPP party and deal with them equally.
Yaa Jantuah, together with seven national executives volunteered to resign during the NEC meeting held in Kumasi on December 5.
She was elected the General Secretary of CPP in August 2020.
