Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed confidence that his party will secure a majority of the seats in the orphan constituency in the 2024 election.

He believes that this can be accomplished by the party’s grassroots members working extremely hard and with a great deal of determination.

On Saturday, December 2, 111 orphan constituencies across the country saw the election of parliamentary candidates by the NPP.

The Vice President said in a statement that the peaceful and orderly election process demonstrates their preparedness for the 2024 election.

“Our party’s preparedness and determination to take a majority of these seats from the National Democratic Congress has been definitively demonstrated by today’s events.

“With the upcoming 2024 general elections in sight, I am very impressed by the quality of candidates chosen to represent our party in these constituencies. In the coming election, I am confident that we will succeed in securing these seats through our sustained unity and collective efforts,” he noted in his statement.

He has also exhorted followers to maintain their momentum in order to succeed.

“We need to stay united from the grassroots down to the highest levels of leadership,” Dr. Bawumia urged.

In a related news, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, a former member of parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku, has been elected as the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Ledzokuku constituency in just-ended primaries.

Following his victory, he has heard that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is saying that he is their biggest headache.

Speaking to reporters prior to the results being announced, Dr. Okoe Boye expressed confidence that he would be the most suitable candidate to represent the NPP in the general elections of 2024.

“The NDC has been telling people that I am their biggest headache, the good news I have for them is that the headache will get worse,” he said.
