Ghanaian celebrity Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has claimed to have received threats because he intends to support a political party in the 2024 elections.
The well-known Kumawood actor had previously declared that on December 1, he would reveal the party he has selected and offer a free campaign song.
However, Lilwin disclosed in an Instagram video that he has received calls from unidentified people cautioning him not to record a campaign song for his favorite political party.
He claimed that the callers did not specify which party they belonged to, just that they cautioned him against putting out any music that offered political endorsements.
Lilwin says he is prepared to take any fallout and is still determined to release his song in spite of the threats.
“If they refund him the $1,500 studio fee, the money paid to his lyricists, and other expenses incurred in the production and release of the song, I will reconsider my decision.” He imposed a requirement on the offenders.
