Ghanaian hiplife artist Kwame Eugene and his housekeeper Mary’s enviable relationship came to an end on a very sad note.
Mary recently discussed the difficulties she encountered while working for the well-known artist in an interview.
Mary claims that after working for Kuami Eugene for two years, she was paid 600 cedis instead of the original 400 cedis.
However, Kuami Eugene ejected her from his home as a result of some unanticipated events and miscommunications.
“When I started working with him, he was paying me Gh400. However, after one year, he added Gh100 to it making my salary Gh500. The following year he did same until he recently sacked me,” Mary said.
When asked why she was fired, Mary said that the “Monica” hitmaker’s female friend had sent her on an errand, but she had returned home late that day.
“He sacked me because I returned late from an errand. Frankly speaking I got home late that day. A lady friend of his asked me to deliver something and I think I got home after 12 am that day.
“He asked me why I returned late, and I explained to him. He asked me if I knew Ghanaians will hold him responsible should something bad happen to me. He then gave me two options, either I pack my things or I will receive Gh400 as my Salary (after the increment),” she said.
Kuami Eugene told Mary how much he admired her at some point last year. Mary has appeared in a few of his songs and videos on TikTok. He even composed her a few songs.
It appears that the two’s relationship ended amicably.
Meanwhile, Nana Ama McBrown received high appreciation from renowned gospel musician Piesie Esther for her assistance during her music video.
Piesie Esther said McBrown made time for her in spite of her hectic schedule. She did not accompany her back and forth.
Piesie Esther described in an interview how she got into traffic and had to use a motorcycle to catch up with them at a different location.
She claimed that McBrown gave her unconditional support, forcing her to ruin her pricey hair and freshly sewn dress for the music video.
Piesie Esther said that’s the reason Ghanaians adore McBrown and consider her fortunate to have her in the music video for “Mo.”
