Expelled member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ohene Ntow has given one condition that will make him and the 3 other sacked members return to the party.

The former General Secretary of the NPP speaking in an interview on UTV, Nana Ntow said if NPP can make Alan Kyerematen the presidential candidate for 2024 general elections that they will also return to support the party break the 8.

According to Nana Ntow, all that he cares about is to also see Alan Kyerematen’s picture appearing on the ballot paper.

Explaining further, he stated that he wouldn’t allow Alan Kyerematen become Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate if the NPP decides.

According to him, the former Trade and Industry Minister is more competent than Dr. Bawumia and therefore must be the boss.

Meanwhile, Nana Ntow claims that NPP made a mistake in selecting Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as its presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.

He asserted that when Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was brought in, the party claimed he was ‘Economic Messiah’ who was going change things.

However, after 7 years, the Ghana’s economy has worsen over the period to the extent that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has to intervened.

He further explained that even though he’s an NPP member, he wouldn’t hesitate to criticize the party when things go wrong.

According to him, the kind of campaign promises they gave the electorates is not what they are doing now.

Following his expulsion the NPP, Nana Ohene Ntow said that he is not shocked nor concerned about being kicked out of the organization.

He claims that because he backed the party’s former flagbearer candidate, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, in his independent presidential bid, this decision was necessary and appropriate under the party’s constitution.

He stated that he had been shunned for the past 13 years despite being a former scribe.
