Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has reacted to Manchester United star Harry Maguire’s invitation to Old Trafford after the latter accepted his apology.
Maguire earlier on responded to the Ghanaian MP’s apology following his absurd critique of the him almost a year ago.
Maguire fell from grace significantly in the 2022–2023 season as Erik ten Hag moved him down the hierarchy. This came after his dismal performance during their awful 2021–2022 season.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is one of the political rivals of Ghanaian MP Isaac Adongo, who called him the “economic Maguire” in December 2022.
Adongo was forced to make a U-turn because of Maguire’s recent improvement in play, as the defender is a “transformational footballer.”
Following this admission of regret, Harry Maguire tweeted: “MP Issac Adongo apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon.”
The Bolgatanga Central MP speaking in an interview on Joy FM on News Night, disclosed that he has been a football fan and a product of Goldcoast Academy in Obuasi.

He added that he will make sure he honors the invitation before English footballer retires. However, Mr. Adongo did not disclosed when he was going to make this invitation happen.
“I am a soccer fan and I grew up as a footballer. I actually at one point a product of Goldcoast Academy in Obuasi, so I enjoy football. So, visiting Old Trafford will be a big pleasure and I will make sure at some point in my life before he retires from football to meet him,” he said.
