Kenneth John “Ken” Dorsey Jr. is a famous American former football quarterback, and coach who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on July 22, 1981, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. He has previously played for teams like San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Cleveland Browns. During his college years, he played for the Miami Hurricanes.
Biography
Dorsey attended Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina, where he was a star athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. He was named the Gatorade Circle of Champions North Carolina Player of the Year in 2000.
After high school, Dorsey attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where he also played college football for the Miami Hurricanes football team. He was a three-year starter for the Hurricanes and led them to a national championship in 2001. He was also named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year in 2004.

NFL Career
Dorsey was also drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the 49ers as a backup quarterback. In 2011, Dorsey signed with the Seattle Seahawks. He spent three seasons with the Seahawks as a backup quarterback. In 2013, he retired from the NFL.
Coaching Career
After retiring from the NFL, Dorsey also worked as a coaching analyst for ESPN. In 2019, he was also hired as the quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2022.
