The Deputy Director for Special Duties for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ernest Yaw Brogya Genfi says none of the presidential aspirants can compete with former president John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general polls.
In a panel discussion on Adekye Nsroma show on UTV, Mr. Yaw Brogya Genfi claimed that Ghanaians are eagerly waiting and yearning for the return of John Mahama in 2024 to the office of the president in order to change the state of the country’s economy.
According to him, Mahama is totally focused on recovering the messed up economy by President Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP government and making life more easier for Ghanaians.
The former NDC National Youth Organizer aspirant claimed that, even market women in Kumasi say things were better under Mahama’s administration than the current NPP government.
Mr. Yaw Brogya Genfi singled out Dr. Bawumia and criticized him for the economic problems facing Ghana on the grounds that, during his time in opposition, the Vice President presented himself as an economic messiah and made numerous insulting remarks about the NDC and Mahama.
According to him, because of his failure to recuse Ghana from its current economy mess, he has destroyed the reputation of all politicians because he’s a chronic lair.

However, Joe Wise, the first Deputy Speaker of Parliament says he expects Dr. Bawumia is expected to win 2024 presidential polls.
Joe Wise asserted that the flagbearer of the NPP is more formidable than National Democratic Congressman (NDC) John Mahama.
The Member of Parliament for Bekwai stated that Dr. Bawumia will defeat former President Mahama in the elections in an interview with Joy News, based in Accra.
The NDC claims that the Vice President has been shown to be incompetent due to the growing public debt brought on by excessive borrowing, the Ghanaian cedi’s difficulties against major international currencies, and high inflation, among other issues. This is especially true given that he previously spoke out strongly against less serious versions of these issues when he was in opposition.
