    Ghanaians are shocked to finally see the face behind the well-liked educational handwriting tool, “My First Copy Book,” which has assisted dozens of people in learning the alphabet and honing their handwriting skills.

    Thanks to a social media revelation by her sister Franka-Maria, Mrs. Araba Swaniker has been identified as the mystery child whose image has graced countless copies of the “My First Copy Book.”

    Franka Maria claims that the original image was taken many years ago by Willis Eugene Bell, an American photographer who was well-known for portraiture at the time.

    The family hired renowned Ghanaian photographer Ben Adu, who caught the captivating moment, to help them recreate the iconic image.

    The photo session is an important record of the woman who, without realizing it, came to represent early education to a generation of Ghanaian youth.
