The Movement for Change (MFC) founder and independent presidential candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, popularly known as Alan Cash has urged Ghanaians to vote against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer, in the general elections of 2024.
According to Alan Cash, Ghanaians can expect nothing new from Bawumia.
Speaking at a forum, Alan claimed that Dr. Bawumia was powerless to turn around Ghana’s failing economy.
He believes that Dr. Bawumia’s assertion that, upon winning the NPP flagbearership contest on November 4, 2023, he would become his own man with his own vision is untrue.
However, he revealed that the Vice Presidency and the Presidency are identical, referring to the two positions as a “combined ticket.”
Alan Kyerematen declared that he would run as an independent for president in 2024 after leaving the NPP’s flagbearer contest.
On Monday, September 25, 2023, he turned in his letter of resignation stating that he was no longer interested in being an NPP member.
He founded the “Movement for Change,” which adopted a monarch butterfly as its emblem.
In a related news, Alan Cash says Ghana needs a plan and not a manifesto.
Speaking to a large group of volunteers as part of his orientation program in Accra, the well-known former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen noted that Ghana is struggling economically over 30years of NPP and NDC governance.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen said the two major parties in Ghana, NPP and NDC have taken Ghana to International Monetary Fund (IMF) for past 17 years to make things better for Ghanaians yet the country goes back and forth without nothing to show.
The former NPP flagbearer aspirant urged Ghanaians to reject both NPP and NDC in the 2024 general elections and choose his MFC for a better Ghana.
He lamented on how the NPP and NDC are wrecking the nation apart with their inconsistent manifesto which does not help the country to progress but rather retrogress.
