Bio: Nadine Dorries’ Personal Life
Nadine Dorries was born Nadine Vanessa Bargery in Liverpool, England on May 21, 1957. She grew up on a council estate in the city’s Anfield district. Her father, a Catholic of Irish descent, was a bus driver who became a lift operator.
When Dorries was nine years old, she was abused by Anglican vicar and family friend Rev William Cameron, who was made priest-in-charge at St Mary’s Anglican church in Halewood in 1966. Dorries has spoken openly about her experience of abuse and how it has shaped her life.
In 1972, Dorries’ family moved to Halebank, Cheshire. She also attended Halewood Grange Comprehensive School, where she was a bright and popular student. She excelled in her studies and was a talented athlete.
Also After leaving school, Dorries worked as a nurse in Warrington. She then also trained as a medical representative and worked for a number of pharmaceutical companies.
In 1983, Dorries married Paul Dorries, a businessman. They also have three children together.
