Meanwhile, former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress Samuel Koku Anyidoho has questioned the party’s leadership’s silence regarding Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s election as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer.
He declared that the NDC‘s failure to congratulate the Vice President following his victory over the weekend is extremely odd.
Anyidoho tweeted his disappointment in a series of tweets, citing a long-standing custom of congratulating political opponents as a sign of unity and democratic values.
He questioned why the NDC took so long to respond to the NPP’s presidential primary, which resulted in Dr. Bawumia being chosen as the party’s candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
He specifically criticized Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the national chairman of the NDC, for what he saw as his inability to guide the party toward upholding democratic norms.
