Former Tema East MP Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus Glover has stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NPP) are paranoid over selection of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the new New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer.
Mr. Titus Glover speaking in a panel discussion on Adekye Nsroma on UTV, claimed that the ever since Dr. Bawumia was projected to succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo as the next presidential candidate to lead the NPP into 2024 polls, the NDC has never stop insulting and attacking the Vice President.
According to the former MP, he said NPP is bothered by the antics of the NDC against Dr. Bawumia ahead of the 2024 general elections, but everybody in the ruling party will rally behind the Vice President to defeat John Dramani Mahama.
“As we speak now John Mahama is running from his own Northern Region, because that is where the fight is going to start from. The real politics, for the first time, NPP has proved that we are a national party,” he said.
Mr Titus Glover continued, “The NDC does two politics, tribal and religious politics. When NPP goes to the North, they claim NPP is an Akan party, When we go to the Volta Region, they claim we are an Akan party, in the zongos too the same.”

Relatedly, Henry Nana Boakye, affectionately called Nana B, the National Organizer of the NPP, has acknowledged that the ruling party will face significant challenges in the general elections of 2024.
The elephant family will prevail, but it will be a very difficult one, according to Nana B.
“Election 2024 is going to be, for me, the most difficult elections for the New Patriotic Party but my strong belief is that we shall prevail…As the National Organizer, I know that the battle ahead is going to be the most difficult battle but I say it to the glory of God that we shall prevail”, Nana B told Kwami Sefa Kayi.
