The Movement for Change led by the former Trade and Industry Minister, Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has sent a strong warning to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of 2024 general elections.

On Wednesday, November 1,speaking at town hall meeting with some volunteers of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen said the NDC should not be complacent in the hope that there will be a change in government every eight years.

According to him, if that mantra was so, he should have been the flagbearer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“The NDC should be complacent in the hope that there will be a change in government every eight years. If that was so, Alan should have been the flagbearer for NPP. I have not said it’s my turn, it was the grassroots who championed that mantra. You they opposed and I left,” he said.

The former Trade and Industry Minister further warned the NDC if they think it is their turn then, Movement for Change is coming. According to him, the 2024 presidential elections will not be like the previous ones.

“There will be a change in 2024, history will be made in this country and we will have the first president in Ghana who is elected as a non partisant president, the first independent candidate to become the president of Ghana,” he said.
