Ghana’s Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and NPP presidential hopeful has declared that he is the candidate the NDC fears the most, as they would not have a campaign message against him.
He claimed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is afraid of him just by hearing his name.
Throughout his speech during his last rally in Bolga, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his sacrifices over the years as well as his contributions to the NPP’s growth.
Along with outlining his ideas to strengthen Party-Government ties, he also responded to party members’ concerns.
The Veep urged the NPP delegates to vote for him because he is only candidate the NDC fears the most amongst the other 4 presidential aspirants.
“There’s another reason why you should vote for me on November 4. There are four of us contesting, amongst the four of us who are contesting, it is me that the NDC fears more than anybody else. The rest of the contestants the NDC doesn’t mind them at all, they don’t insult them, don’t lie about them, they don’t do propaganda about them. But when they wake up in the morning Bawumia, in the afternoon Bawumia, at night Bawumia, when they dream it is Bawumia they dream about,” the Veep said.
Explaining further, the Vice President asserted that NDC fears him because they believe he can give John Mahama a showdown in their 3 stronghold in the 2024 general election.
According to him the strongholds of NDC are Volta Region, the regions in the North and the zongo communities in the Southern part of Ghana.
He added that when NDC campaign in these places, they claimed that the NPP is an Akan party and therefore doesn’t care about their welfare but since he is a Norherner, he poses as threat to their campaign message for the upcoming elections in 2024.

At a massive rally held in Bolga, the capital of the Upper East Region, the Vice President brought his nationwide campaign tour to an end.
Thousands of delegates and party members from different constituencies turned out for the rally, which served as the grand finale to months of engagement and the announcement of Dr. Bawumia’s vision for the party and the next government.
He told party members that they could break the “eight” if they banded together, forgave one another, and got ready for the next elections.
In addition to praising Fred Oware and his Campaign Team, Dr. Bawumia also thanked other prominent members of the party and sponsors who helped him with his campaign.
