Recently, a video featuring Theresa Awuni, the National Democratic Congress candidate for Okaikwei North, went viral.
Mad. Theresa Lardi Awuni is heard criticizing branch executives in the 31-second video, who are thought to be members of her party.
The video shows a clearly agitated Mad. Theresa Awuni, the MP for Okaikwei North, speaking to a group of people who appear to be NDC supporters.
On a platform to which they both belong, Okaikwei North MP uses this opportunity to explain what caused her outburst. She explains that the branch executives had questioned her use of the Common Fund assigned to the constituency.
Mad. Theresa Awuni, evidently displeased is heard saying, “A branch executive in this constituency, three days ago went to write on the platform, that what does the MP use the Common Fund for?”
“I used it to buy khebab for your mother and father … is Common Fund personal money given to us? I haven’t even seen some before, they don’t give it to us directly.”

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and NPP presidential hopeful has declared that he is the candidate the NDC fears the most, as they would not have a campaign message against him.
He claimed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is afraid of him just by hearing his name.
Throughout his speech during his last rally in Bolga, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his sacrifices over the years as well as his contributions to the NPP’s growth.
Along with outlining his ideas to strengthen Party-Government ties, he also responded to party members’ concerns.
The Veep urged the NPP delegates to vote for him because he is only candidate the NDC fears the most amongst the other 4 presidential aspirants.
“There’s another reason why you should vote for me on November 4. There are four of us contesting, amongst the four of us who are contesting, it is me that the NDC fears more than anybody else. The rest of the contestants the NDC doesn’t mind them at all, they don’t insult them, don’t lie about them, they don’t do propaganda about them. But when they wake up in the morning Bawumia, in the afternoon Bawumia, at night Bawumia, when they dream it is Bawumia they dream about,” the Veep said.
