Former Ghana’s ambassador to India, Mr. Sam Pee Yalley has shared his two cents on NPP’s presidential hopeful, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong‘s claims of bribery and corruption in the party ahead of the Saturday’s primaries.

Recently, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central alleged that he was approached by one of the contender’s in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership race with a whooping sum of $800milion to step down from the presidential primaries but he rejected.

However, following this Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s campaign team quickly came out to dismiss the claims by Ken Agyapong even though the latter did not mention any of the aspirants name.

Speaking in a panel discussion on TV3, Mr. Sam Pee Yalley called on the NPP party to conduct an intensive investigations into Kennedy Agyapong’s allegations.

The former High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to India highlighted the necessity of conducting a comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth behind this significant claim made by Kennedy Agyapong.

According to Mr. Sam Pee Yalley, there’s no difference between allegations made on the political campaign grounds and criminal law but must prove with evidence.

“Today, I am repeating the question, ‘Who killed Armed Suale?’ Because as a young man coming up his life could not been terminated by who? We need to find out the unknown person who did that,” the former ambassador demanded.

He continued, “Now he [Kennedy Agyapong] has also raised the question $800m. Do you know how this money would mean to the economy today?” he quizzed. ” And these allegations have been thrown out there and there’s no investigations, someone makes claims of $1m contract allegations and the Road Minister is going to EOCO, but they have disqualified or sanctioned any him.”

Mr. Sam Yalley said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are afraid of Dr. Bawumia because the NPP are forcing a man who’s a chronic liar.
