Earlier on, we reported that despite being hit with an injunction, the funeral planners for the late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III, say they will still hold the service on Saturday.
An injunction obtained against it by certain interested parties caused the funeral to previously encounter difficulties. For the following ten days, the funeral planners were forbidden from holding the funeral.
But in an interview with Eyewitness News, Nii Ayikoi Otoo, the president of the Ga Adangbe Council and a member of the funeral planning committee, made it clear that the funeral would proceed according to schedule because they had not yet received the court documents.
He maintains that the funeral will take place at the Ga Mantse Palace and feels that the organizers cannot be sued because they were given the task of organizing the funeral.
