Boris Johnson is a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2019 to 2022. He is a member of the Conservative Party and has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015.

Johnson entered politics in 2001 when he was elected MP for Henley. He served as Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. In 2016, he was also appointed Foreign Secretary by Prime Minister Theresa May. He resigned from this position in 2018 in protest at May’s Brexit deal.
In 2019, Johnson was elected leader of the Conservative Party. He became Prime Minister in July 2019. He resigned as Prime Minister in July 2022 following a series of scandals and resignations from his government.
