A communications team member of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Anim Piesie has criticized the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Freda Prempeh over her recent comments on victims of the Akosombo dam spillage.
Recently, Freda Prempeh blamed the victims for the destruction following the Akosombo dam spill. She claimed that despite repeated warnings from the Volta River Authority, residents of the affected communities resisted being evacuated.
Speaking during a panel discussion on UTV Adekye Nsroma, Mr. Bernard Piesie said he wasn’t expecting such comments should come from Madam Fred Prempeh.
According to Bernard Piesie, her insensitive statements are appalling and it added more woes to the pains of the residents in the lower Volta who been affected greatly by the flood disaster.
