An angry supporter of Kennedy Agyapong, A presidential hopeful for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region’s Assin Central Constituency has threatened to beat any delegate who will vote for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming primaries on November 4, 2023.
Recall, earlier this month hundreds of delegates of the NPP in the Central Region’s Assin Central Constituency vowed to support Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the party’s flagbearer at the forthcoming National Delegates Conference.
This significant support coincided with threats made by prominent NPP member and local MP Kennedy Agyapong, who promised to wreck havoc and cause trouble in the area if Bawumia wins.
The voting station chairmen and other party executives who made up the delegates cited Dr. Bawumia’s sterling record and significant contribution to the achievements of the Akufo-Addo-led administration as justification for their support.
In a viral video sighted by InsightNewsgh.com, the young man who supports Ken Agyapong vowed to deal with any delegates who will vote for dr. Bawumia.
He rained curses and used unprinted words to insult what he described some Assin Central residents as greedy and ungrateful.
The young man went to reveal the some of the good works and charity works Ken Agyapong has done for his constituency and the people of the Assin Fosu.
He recalled one occasion in which, some needy residents paraded at Kennedy Agyapong’s residence and were given money to start their own businesses. According to him, one lady he knows squandered the money instead of using it to establish a business.
He also added that it was time for Assin Central to also have presidential candidate in history books of Ghana even if Ken Agyapong end up losing the 2024 general elections.

Relatedly, Ralph Agyapong, an attorney and a brother to Kennedy Agyapong has responded to the Second Lady Samira Bawumia recently made a political statement.
Lawyer Agyapong was asked why Kennedy Agyapong’s camp claimed credit for the Second Lady’s speech in an interview on Okay FM on October 19, 2023, despite the fact that she made no specific mention of anyone by name.
