Legendary Ghanaian rapper and musician, Okyeame Kwame has defended his earlier statement that sleeping with a different person who isn’t your partner is not cheating.
Few days ago, On the podcast Bro Code, hosted by Twitter influencer Kalyjay, Okyeame Kwame provided a unique definition of relationship cheating.
The outspoken Ghanaian musician claimed that it is not cheating to sleep with someone who is not your partner.
Speaking in an interview on Best Entertainment Show with Halifax Ansah-Addo, monitored by InsightNewsgh.com, the rapper explained that during their conversation on broken-heart, he was asked about cheating and he explained that people must be careful with words because behind every word, there is a spirit.
He continued that, if someone says ‘he has cheated on me,’ it means that the actions of the person has affected the other person.
He argued people in relationship must not be attached but be in parallel so that if one decides to cheat, the other isn’t affected.
“If your girlfriend or wife sleeps with another man, when you think about it critically, you are not the one who cheated. So she brings shame upon herself and not you. So if we begin to look at life like that, it gets to a point we separate ourselves from others,” he said.
Okyeame Kwame further explained that in relationships in order to avoid broken-heart, one must be connected to their partners instead of getting attached.

In a video that went viral on social media, Okyeame Kwame explains that cheating is not happening as long as one partner isn’t using the other’s body.
On the podcast Bro Code, hosted by Twitter influencer Kalyjay, he expressed this viewpoint.
Says Okyeame, “as stupid as it sounds, our society has created a certain idea that if your partner goes to sleep with another person that is not you, your partner has cheated. How am I cheating on, I am not using your body” and laughed out loud.
