Some Ghanaian celebrities have expressed their disappointment with Ghana’s shamble performance against the United States of America.
The USA dominated the Black Stars in a friendly international match, winning handily 4-0 in the wee hours of Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
The Terminator hitmake, King Promise was equally disappointed like most Ghanaians who watched the game this dawn, he described the Black Stars’ performance as a “joke.”
The Ghanaian musician vented his anger on Twitter about the poor performance of the Ghanaian team.
King Promise questioned why Salis Samed started the game on the bench in a series of tweets that included the phrase “What a Joke,” writing, “Why Salis dey bench. Why do you kmtt?

Meanwhile, John Dumelo, an actor and politician, said that Ghana’s performance against the United States was the worst he had ever seen from the national team.
He claimed that Chris Hughton’s team was unrecognizable after their crushing 4-0 loss to the Americans.
“This is the worst performance I’ve ever seen. This is not the black stars we know…what is really wrong?” Dumelo wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

In the wee hours of Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Nashville, Tennessee’s Geodis Park, the USA defeated the Black Stars 4-0.
Giovanni Reyna scored twice and added goals from Christian Pulisic and Leon Balogun as the Americans dominated the first half.
The USA got off to a fast start in this match following their 3-1 loss to Germany a few days prior, and their early dominance paid off when Reyna slammed home from the rebound after just 10 minutes.
As Ghana’s defense continued to be ignored, Gregg Berhalter’s team was given a penalty when Pulisic was carelessly brought down in the box.
Balogon made it 3-0 before Reyna added a fourth goal late in the first half, putting the game beyond Ghana’s reach with an easy shot into the net from an indirect free-kick.
The Black Stars have now lost both of their international contests this month after being defeated 2-0 by Mexico last Sunday.
Ghanaian celebrities have added their voices to the public criticism of the team’s lackluster performance against the USA.
