A founding member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has publicly demanded the immediate resignation of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s President describing his leadership style as an efference to the democracy fought for under the 4th republican constitution.
According to him, he has known President Akufo-Addo since 1998 when he run for NPP presidential flagbearer but the president has change since he became the country’s president in 2016.
“What many Ghanaians may not remember is that General Nuno Mensah was the campaign manager for President Akufo-Addo in the 1998 NPP presidential primaries, and I was also a member of that team, so we know what we are talking about.
The NPP stalwart continued, “As a young medical doctor in the Ghana Armed Forces years ago, I experienced despicable disobedient within the ranks and tribal considerations by the leadership of the decision making and these are again manifesting today.”
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe asserted the democracy they toiled so hard to get restored has trampled upon under the President Akufo-Addo led NPP government.
He added that if the corruption within the political class is not tackled then Ghana will be in big trouble.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe lamented over how NPP officials are looting the country money and acquiring and relocating their families out Ghana while the ordinary Ghanaian is being deprived their basic needs in life.
“As a member of the New Patriotic Party, I am worried over how leading figures in the ruling party’s presidential primaries are now publicly confessing this acts of corruptions with accusations of siphoning public money and office to resettle their families abroad. Acquring properties while the people of Ghana largely suffer and are deprived of basic needs,” he lamented.

Recently, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe voiced his displeasure with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s performance as Vice President.
He feels that because the Vice President lacks the ability to “think independently,” he is being used as a rubber stamp.
