Ghanaian media personality and a presenter at UTV, Anim Addo has replied Omanhene Kwabena Asante over his criticism on some people who blasted the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for sending a letter to request the management of Despite Media Group to reform United Showbiz program.
Over the weekend, some thugs alleged to be NPP supporters invaded the studios of UTV to attack A-Plus for tearing NPP’s letter and also defend the constant criticisms of the some panelists against the President Akufo-Addo and Veep Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Following, Omanhene Kwabena Asante criticized the public for condemning the NPP. According to him, NPP has every right to send the letter to UTV to request them reform the United Showbiz program if they deem it fit provided it doesn’t beach any rules and regulations.
In a response to his criticisms, Anim Addo blast celebrated media personality for jumping into the ongoing saga without having details of the whole incident.
Anim Addo explained that NPP never sent an official letter to the management of UTV. As a matter of fact, NPP officials came to UTV premises Nicodemusly and apologized over the viral letter and even explained that the letter was signed by the wrong person.
He cautioned Omanhene Kwabena Asante against jumping on the bandwagon to gain favors in the eyes of authorities.
The UTV presenter blasted him for overlooking the threats of Owusu Bempah who allegedly incited attack on UTV in a recent interview.

Meanwhile, in response to the attack on UTV during the United Showbiz program on Saturday, October 7, 2023, Despite Media has issued a press release.
In the statement, Despite media strongly denounced the assault on the media facility and stated that it was an attack on the freedom of the press and the media. The media outlet vowed to take all reasonable safety and legal precautions to prevent a repeat of the incident.
They also assured the media house’s staff that their safety was a top priority and that they would take all necessary precautions to ensure it at all times.
They also disclosed that top NPP figures apologized to the media outlet on behalf of the intruders.
