Joe Budden (born Joseph Anthony Budden II on August 31, 1980) is an American rapper, podcaster, and businessman. He is best known for his music career, which has spanned over two decades. He has released four studio albums, all of which have charted on the Billboard 200. Joe is also the host of the popular podcast The Joe Budden Podcast.
Budden was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He began rapping at a young age and released his first mixtape in 2000. He signed a record deal with Def Jam Recordings in 2003 and released his debut album, Joe Budden, in the same year. The album was a commercial success and spawned the hit single “Pump It Up.”
