Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse, has been named as the primary suspect in Mohbad’s death by the Lagos State Police Command, along with Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, and one other person.

Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, passed away on September 12 at the age of 27. Since then, his passing has sparked debate after old videos of the Afrobeats singer making claims of physical abuse and bullying surfaced.

“Five suspects have so far been identified, arrested, detained, and interrogated on their alleged roles in the sequence of events that led to the death of the singer,” the Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, said in a press briefing on Friday.

He added that Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba, received “multiple and highly potent” injections from Ogedengbe.

The injections, which contained Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and the antibiotic Cetrazone, were given on September 12 at Mobad’s home, according to Owohunwa.

According to reports, the medications caused an immediate reaction that included vomiting, goosebumps, and convulsions.

He claimed that Ogedengbe was unqualified to serve in the capacity of a home nurse and that she did so carelessly and outside of a clinical setting.

Another suspect is Primeboy, also known as Ibrahim Oluwatosin Owodunni, who is said to have known Mohbad since they were young.

The police commissioner revealed that Primeboy and Mohbad went to a concert together on September 10, which resulted in a physical altercation between the two that hurt the late singer.

“The management of the injury subsequently resulted in his death,” Owohunwa said.

Mr. Ayobami Sadiq, also known as Spending, who is “suspected of conspiracy to commit a felony” and who is said to have invited the auxiliary nurse, has also been named as a suspect.

Sam Larry, whose real name is Samson Balogun, was detained and is still there for his involvement in the Afrobeats star’s death as well as for his role in the deceased’s popular videos about bullying and assault.

Owohunwa also mentioned that Abdul-Aziz Fashola, alias Naira Marley, was also detained and is still there as a result of comparable accusations.

The autopsy, toxicology test, and exhumation of Mohbad’s remains were all conducted on September 21. The police commissioner also stated that the results of the autopsy and toxicology were pending.
