The Assin Central lawmaker claimed that he had not treated the former President fairly, he then apologized to the NDC flahbearer on the show.

“The way he has handled me and how I have spoken harshly to John Mahama, I think have not been fair to Mahama. He is such a wonderful man.

“I apologize, I am a human being. I think I recount my relationship with him and all that I want to say I am sorry,” he stated.

Mr. Agyapong went on to say that he gets along well with the former first family, particularly the ex-president Mahama’s wife.

The former administration headed by Mr. Mahama received harsh criticism from the MP for Assin Central.

He was a major factor in the 2016 general elections that resulted in the overthrow of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

Relatedly, Mr. Agyapong has accused his party of forcing Members of Parliament of the ruling government to vote for one presidential aspirant.

According to him, NPP executives have threatened to ditch any MP who publicly supports him to become the next presidential candidate to lead the ruling party.
