Dr. Sonnie Badu, a Ghanaian pastor and gospel musician based in the UK, claims he is unconcerned if Ghanaian DJs, fellow gospel musicians, or the media sabotage him.

In an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz on Thursday on Hitz FM, he made this claim.

He took a deep breath and responded, “Yes,” when asked if he still feels marginalized by Ghanaian gospel performers, DJs, and the media, “I don’t care anymore, ɛnfa meho,” repeating the same statement in Twi.

This comes after the gospel musician claimed that some unidentified people formed a WhatsApp group just to make fun of him.

Additionally, he claimed that some gospel musicians had gone so far as to collude with some DJs to prevent the radio play of his songs.

He claimed that after all he had accomplished for African gospel music with the aid of God, he had been honored.

In 2020, Brian Amoateng posted on Facebook with these charges.

The message said: “Ghanaian gospel musicians are so so gifted. What is limiting them? (just thinking) #PastorBrian.”

Sonnie Badu’s comments followed: “Lack of respect for those who have gone ahead of them.”

The singer of “Enojare” added that gospel performers in Ghana always appear to be a group when they are out in public.

“And they pretend they are united in public, but in their closet, they are against each other.”

After three years, Sonnie Badu declared that he is finally putting everything behind him. He concluded, “We are here, and we will make it happen.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has listed Owodunni Ibrahim, aka Primeboy, as wanted after he ignored a police invitation that was sent to him after the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (also known as Mohbad) began.

On Wednesday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin (ANIPR, MIPRA), the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), issued a notice declaring Primeboy as wanted by the Nigeria Police Force.

The notice also includes CP Idowu Owohunwa, the state’s commissioner of police, announcing a reward of N1 million for anyone with information that could result in Primeboy’s arrest.
